Condensate Neutralizer
Installed on Boiler and Water Heaters and can be serviced in conjunction with a boiler or water hater service or can be completed as an individual service.
All residential and commercial condensate neutralizers or their media shall be replaced annually. Some neutralizers are sealed disposable units while others allow you to replace just the media. While it is less expensive to install the disposable neutralizer the first time, having to cut it out and re-plumb it every year will quickly cost more than the replaceable media style. And while the replaceable media style has a larger upfront cost the media replacements are relatively inexpensive, and you can do it on your own.
Refill
If Freeman Plumbing or Freemanworks installed your neutralizer and or pump then you have the option to change your own neutralizer media every year. While many of our customers prefer, we come out for an annual inspection and neutralizer refill every year some prefer to tackle on their own.
We only install neutralizer that can be inspected and easily refilled. Some neutralizers require the need to be removed and re-plumbed every year there are others than can be opened, cleaned, and refilled with ease. Using prepackaged refill tubes or bags.
Replacement
Freemanworks will remove, recycle, and replace the old condensate neutralizer and or pump with a newer, refillable solution. Newer style neutralizers have unique features: not just rocks, but media blend for extended life and performance. Units are clear for visual inspection, and have either union ends or access lids, with media tubes or socks pre-measured refills for ease of service. While these units cost more than those of old, the ability to quickly inspect and replace pays off the first refill. Also now available is an all-in-one solution from various manufacturers, this is a neutralizer and pump all one small appliance. The pumps can lift almost two stories and move all the condensate there is. The media can be visually inspected and easily replaced with pre-packaged and sized refills.
